TRYOUTS & PLAYERS NEEDED

U-15 BOYS STRIKERS Tryout Numbers are posted on the Tryout Page located at the bottom of this home page.

 

Players interested in playing for the Hockessin Strikers Elite U15 B Team should contact Manager, Bill Nutting (wnutting@gmail.com) or 302 377-6837. The Strikers Elite placed 2nd last Fall in Delco USCS2, will have a Spring '09 schedule (potential optional winter indoor practices) and are looking for talented player additions.

 

The U16 team is looking for 2-3 players to play on their B team.  Please contact Keith Keomanikhoth at kkeomani@verizon.net
 
TEAM NEWS
The U-10 Boys' Developmental Academy needs players to fill out a third team. If you are interested and your child's birthdate is between 8/1/98-7/31/00, please contact Gary Johansson

The U11 Lightning boys team prevailed 2-1 on penalty kicks against TEYSA to win their division championship. Despite a rain deluge, the team displayed poise and determination to outscore their opponents 8-1 in their bracket. A well balanced scoring attack and an awe-inspiring defensive strategy were quite evident, especially during the all important penalty kick shootout. Congratulations to the Lighting are in order for their overall display of sportsmanship.

The U11 Boys Thunder won the FC Delco Players Cup Tournament. They won all three matches and defeated their opponents 17-2 in bracket play. They survived a PK shootout to win the semi-final match and ultimately won the championship match with a 1-0 score to become Player’s Cup champions! Picture>
Congratulations to the Hockessin Soccer Club’s U11 Academy LadyHawks who went 5-0-1 while winning the U-11 age group of the Gettysburg Blue-Gray Cup Memorial Day Soccer tournament Gettysburg, PA on May 24-25.  During the six games eleven different players scored 18 goals while only conceding one goal in the finals, a 3-1 victory over Indian Mills. The U12 Girls Storm were the champions of the Masl State Cup Qualifier tournament. The girls were undefeated and outscored the competition 10-2. Congratulations girls!

Use your off-season to prepare and improve for the upcoming season! The camp is open to male and female Hockessin soccer players from ages 10 to age 18. His children and former players are carrying on his memory through the Kids Kickin' Cancer Foundation which benefits the construction of a getaway house at the beach for children fighting cancer and the Helen F. Graham Center and Sloane in New York City.
